In the Garden with Holly & Her Girls

One of the things I hear most often from mums is this:
“I’m never in the photos with my kids.”

Holly reached out to me because she wanted to change that. Like so many mothers, she’s usually the one behind the camera – capturing the everyday magic, but never truly in it. So on a bright, beautiful day in London, we changed the script.

This session was all about Holly being present with her girls. Not posed, not overly styled – just honest moments of connection between a mother and her daughters, right there in their own garden. The light was soft, the girls were full of life, and the whole shoot felt gentle and grounded.

We played, laughed, and wandered through the grass. I watched as Holly’s girls snuggled into her arms, climbed into her lap, and burst into giggles – moments that speak volumes without needing any words at all.

That’s the beauty of natural family photography: it honours the in-between. The way her daughters looked at her, the way they fit so perfectly by her side, the way she smiled as she held them close. These are the kinds of memories that deserve to be captured – not just for now, but for the future.
